\nMedsphere Systems has announced that it is transferring its CareVue EHR software to cloud infracture offered by Amazon Web Services. The announcement was made at HIMSS18 on Wednesday in Las Vegas.
\nCareVue EHR is an open-source software that is subscription-based and its OpenVista technology has been derived from the VA’s original VistA system. It is now offering rural and small community hospitals a unique platform-as-a-service opportunity to effectively manage their medical data. This would be reinforced with extra cybersecurity measures along with AWS’ own dependable security protections.
\nIn a statement Medsphere CEO Irv Lichtenwald said, \u201cOur goal has been to balance out the tension between security and system access, and we\u2019re confident that CareVue Cloud creates peace of mind without putting unnecessary burden on clinicians.\u201d
