iPhone developer already had 39 Health systems on board before it launched the app. Just two months after the launch of its beta version was released, Apple has announced the full-scale launch of its EHR app. The main aim behind this launch is to ease patient engagement in their own treatments through an amplified user-friendliness with electronic health records.
\nThis newly launched record-sharing app will greatly expand Apple\u2019s pool of participating healthcare organizations and hospitals. It has been reported that the tech giant had only 12 U.S. healthcare systems on board in January and now the number has escalated to 39.
\nIn a press release announcing the launch of this app Apple said, “The updated Health Records section within the Health app helps consumers see medical information from various institutions organized into one view and receive notifications when their data is updated. This information can help patients better understand their health history, have informed conversations with physicians and family members, and make future decisions.”
\nThe tech giant says that its new app will be safe and will be able to secure all medical records from being stolen. The company said that it will be keeping all medical records encrypted in order to keep patient data safe. This interesting app is available for iPhones and can be used by customers willing for an iOS software update.
\nIf you have been missing out on the news of the beta version of this app, know that apple released its iOS 11.3 beta version on Jan. 24 and with this release, it announced that the users will now be able to view electronic health records from numerous healthcare providers in conjunction with medical data from the Health app directly on their smart phone devices.
\n“The updated Health Records section within the Health app brings together hospitals, clinics and the existing Health app to make it easy for consumers to see their available medical data from multiple providers whenever they choose,” Apple wrote in a statement.
