Pros: Medical note comes out very professional , which is why I bought this software. The voice to text is better than Dragon which is another pro. The photo feature seems very nice - can take a picture in your office, and ends up as part of the progress note - I can also take back up photos with my cell phone.
Cons: Not infrequently, when you dictate, entire portions disappear (for example, the HPI may be typed, but the exam disappears). Sometimes you can't dictate at all. When dictating, you can't dictate PMH/ PSH, ROS, or Assessment, just HPI, exam, SH, and treatment. Selecting meds to prescribe, esp lotions, can be challenging. Can't highlight parts of your own current note in progress to cut and paste or copy elsewhere as you are creating a note. Very limited # of ICD 10 diagnoses to select from - i usually just type my own accurate dx in.

Pros: Full practice software is good for patient charting and managing all aspects of medical office. It is able to accommodate several practitioners and staff and allows for large volumes of files and database. Very straight forward practical application to use given all the functions available.
Cons: Tech support/service call response is immediate but actual support and repair was often deferred to a later time and was difficult to communicate with their staff, located overseas. Many features were not used as it is not easily streamlined for a specialty practice. Costs for eClinicalworks are expensive.

Pros: Both the system and practice management are easy to use. It lets very quickly navigate and access records and labs while you're in an early stage.
Cons: The systems freezes sometimes. The requires a reboot or a logout to restart your work.

Pros: There is nothing I like about this product
Cons: Have been using this product now for over a year and a half. Just today the program has crashed half a dozen or more times. My nurse practitioners cant use it because the same thing is happening. They launched another app, of many, for the desktop on the iPad. It doesnt work. They cant give us any answers, and this is common. This company is absolute trash. You put in a ticket, and the ticket could rot until you call them back, and then they give you a time slot somewhere within a two day 16 hour window that they will call you back. How is this supposed to work? You cannot manipulate the environment within which your note is constructed, because its not word-based, and they have not work with us to develop a way to adjust the notes. Most awful product I have ever use. Awful people, dont know how to use the iPad, literally when they were here teaching me they told me we have no idea how to use the iPad. These were trainers sent by the company. They told us to buy 25 iPads, because they were iPad base, and then nobody was trained. What a piece of trash.
Verdict: Talk about overpromising and underdelivering. This is one of the most astonishing charlatan companies I have ever encountered. Everything anybody in our entire company has done on the iPad, we have had to do by trial and error. Every one of the apps they have launched has been unstable. This most recent one is awful. I just got off the phone with them, and all they could say is development is working on it. That doesnt help me in the clinic, we see 500 patients a day and nobody can use the iPads.
