Based on the patient’s previous profile, NeoMED EHR displays vital signs and other health parameters in summary and graphical format. Additionally, NeoMED provides remote access to patient records; this service is governed by the CCD’s (Continuity of Care Document) rules.
The system supports direct typing, speech recognition, and point-and-click data entry. Through graphs, encounter summary sheets, and quality performance reporting, it makes straightforward review of patient health information possible. Every piece of data that is uploaded to the system is coded using industry-standard terms like SNOMED-CT. The system provides secure messaging for communication, E-prescribing with formulary checks, reminders and notifications for preventive care, and retrieval of prescription histories.
NeoMed 3.0.0.7 is fully certified for the ONC HIT 2014 Edition. In order for qualifying healthcare providers to be eligible for funds provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the software helps them meet the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Meaningful Use standards. NeoMed v. 3.0.0.7.34 has also been pre-validated for automatic credit toward the Patient Center Medical Home Recognition (PCMH) 2014 program of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). ICD 9/10, SNOMED, RXNORM, and HL7 are used to arrange and code the clinical data in this system. Additionally provided are tools for testing and diagnostics as well as integration with external systems.
