Uprise is a cohesive Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Software and Practice Management software solution for Optometry practices. It is a web-based solution that allows eye care providers to enhance clinical workflow and manage their practices according to regulations.
The integrated PM solution allows providers to streamline the administrative and financial aspects of the practice to increase efficiency. Uprise Electronic Health Records (EHR) enhances clinical charting by enabling providers to make a single annotation entry on the provided image templates. The templates extend to treatment code mappings, dilation set up, counseling materials and recommendation topics to fit the needs of each practice. The EHR is fully integrated with labs, pharmacies and diagnostic equipment to enable data exchange. The EHR comes embedded with frame catalogs for fast ordering, patient recall, patient education, and CodeSAFE® alerts in cases of incompatible CPT code combinations for services performed on the same day or if a CPT and ICD combination is not allowed.
Uprise has a comprehensive claims management solution that allows providers to send and track claims electronically and generate claims for review, helping to increase claim acceptance and expedite reimbursement.
Uprise pricing is a subscription-based model without long-term contracts, there are no hidden or upgrade fees or requirements to buy hardware to support the solution.

Pros: The cloud-based nature of Uprise EHR is a huge plus since it lets me access patient files securely from anywhere. The data entry process is relatively smooth and I like the patient portal functionality which encourages engagement.
Cons: It is pricey for the features offered and some updates have been disruptive during busy periods.
Verdict: A decent system with good functionality but it does not justify the cost for a smaller practice like mine.

Pros: Uprise EHR covers all the basics well. It is decent for patient records billing and reporting, which are the core needs of our small practice. The dashboard layout is intuitive and works fine without much IT expertise.
Cons: It is not as advanced or feature-packed as some other software I have seen and certain reports feel rigid in how they can be generated.
Verdict: A solid choice if you want something straightforward. It is not revolutionary but it gets the job done.

Pros: I found Uprise EHR to be disappointing overall. Slow response times and frequent glitches overshadowed the few features that worked well like basic scheduling.
Cons: The system crashes too often during peak hours and the updates seem to create more problems than they fix. Customer support is not responsive enough to address these issues.
Verdict: I do not recommend this software system at all.

Pros: Easy to use and self-explanatory. The most amazing aspect of it is its ability for let our patients interact patients by communicating and educating through its patient portal. There are various opportunities for them where they can fill out questionnaires, review exam history, access educational material, and more.

Pros: Its reporting is very comprehensive. It covers all the aspects and gives detailed operational, financial, auditing, and analysis reports enable us to identify where we need to correct issues before they chip away at our bottom line.
Cons: Quite a few glitches at times of updates which we would love to avoid.
Verdict: An overall good software with a fairly intuitive layout.
